The Union Ministry of Education has released the National Ranking Framework (NIRF) rankings of Higher Education Institutions in New Delhi for the year 2023. The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Madras) remains the best educational institute and holding the top position as the Best Engineering Institution in India for the fifth consecutive time.
IIT Madras has topped in the list followed by IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur and IIT Kanpur.
The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) is a ranking methodology adopted by the Ministry of Education by the Government of India, to rank the institutions of higher education in India. The framework was established in the year 2005 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development.
