Total Quality Management (TQM) is a process of reducing and detecting errors in the manufacturing where employees continuously improve their ability to provide on demand products and services that costumers will find of particular value. TQM is a process used to improve the quality of an organization’s output including goods and services.
Total Quality Management holds all parties involved in the production process for the overall quality of the final product or service.

Quality Circle:
Quality circle is a small group of people doing similar work who meet regularly and voluntarily under the leadership of their supervisor to identify their work problems.
The basic purpose of Quality circle is to solve work related problems through the basic problem solving techniques.
Quality circle is a form of participative management which assumes that the group of people working together and come up for the better solution. It is the human resource development technique which is used to develop skills, creativity, work experience and education.

- To reduce the cost of products.
- To identify and solve the work related problems.
- To satisfy the human needs and developments.
Quality Audit:
Quality audit is one of the key management tools for achieving the objectives in the organizations policy. It ensures the adequacy of control system for betterment of quality.
According to ISO-8402, Quality Audit is defined as, “A systematic and independent examination to determine whether quality activities and related results comply with planned arrangements and whether this arrangements are implemented effectively and are suitable to achieve objectives”.
Quality audit is used in various departments such as design, production inspection, quality control, etc.
Six-Sigma and TQM:
Six-sigma is used to reduce variation in the processes that lead to product defects. Six-sigma is same as TQM to reduce the defects. It is directly linked with profitability by reducing the cost of poor quality products, reworks, rejects, etc.
The other quality approaches measures the ability to meet some quality and six-sigma actually measures the output of your process. It is less theoretical and more real.
