Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos Rolls Out New Electric Deliver Rickshaws

Taking a Climate Pledge, Jeff Bezos announced with a video on Twitter that Amazon is rolling out with a new fleet of Electric Deliver Rickshaws.

Amazon Founder and CEO Jeff Bezos introduced new three-wheeler electric-powered delivery rickshaws, during his visit in India.

Bezos announced Electric Deliver Rickshaws on Twitter with a video, which shows a full fleet of electric deliver rickshaws that will be used by the company for order deliveries. This rickshaw is part of the company's climate pledge. #ClimatePledge

The electric rickshaws will be fully electric and have zero carbon emissions. Amazon India on Monday said that, it would have a fleet of 10,000 Electric Vehicles are running on the Indian roads by 2025. "The fleet of 10,000 Electric Vehicles, including three-wheeler and four-wheeler vehicles has been designed and manufactured by original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in India".

In 2020, these electric vehicles will operate in over 20 cities in India including, Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and among other cities.

Jeff Bezos will invest over $1 Billion in India for new startups, digitizing small and medium businesses. Bezos said that, Amazon would create one million new jobs in the country over the next five years.
